Blackberry Owners Help Please

Thread Starter
Hello, I have a blackberry curve or something similar and I cannot find the option to change the click event for the trackball. I went to options - keyboard settings and the only options for the track ball is the sensitivity. I did a few google searches and came up with nothing.

What is happening is when the trackball is clicked it will automatically go to "Inbox Search" no matter what I have highlighted when I click. I just need to change it to the enter function so if my mail icon is highlighted and I click the trackball it will open my mail or if something else is hightled and the trackball is clicked it will act as the enter key does.

Thanks for any help.

Pull the battery. But I'm assuming you probably have already done that?

It does seem to solve many of the problems.
But my Blackberry Bold is running OS 5.0

Yeah I tried that. I used to work as tech support for a phone company so I did what they call a power cycle where you pull the battery and hold power for 30 sec.

Yup, the power cycle is like the ctrl-alt-del of phones. Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem so I wiped the phone and reinstalled the newest os. Works again, thanks guys.

That was going to be my second suggestion. Hopefully you backed up before hand, I've reinstalled the OS without doing so... I hated myself lol. Lesson learned.
