i5 2500k Build

Thread Starter
Here is the build,
I'd like some input and since this is my first build is there any FAQ I can go to that will help with any installation tips? (like vital things I may not know w/o experience?)
I've also heard you can short out your computer with static, so what do I do about that? (I also have a carpet that produces a lot of static on my body) It may sound stupid, but I'm a nub^^.

Build:

Case: AZZA Solano 1000 Black/Black Japanese
MoBo: ASUS P8P67 PRO
GPU: Sapphire Radeon 6870
PSU: CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-750HX 750W
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K
Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB)
HDD: 2 x SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 in Raid (Striped)
Cooler: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus

Total Cost w/o monitor ~$1150

I also need help choosing the best monitor. I figure if i'm spending this much on a mid level GPU, I might as well get a big monitor to go with it. I don't care if it has HDMI or not. These are the ones I'm looking at now. I wonder if the extra 4 inches on the 27" is worth it (priced at $300)... I also don't know If i should say screw it and get two of the 23" (priced at $150) for the price of one 27". Will I see a decrease in gaming fps if I have two 23" 1080 monitors running on one gpu?
Also, I was thinking the one 23" would be good too.

Monitor Possibilities
~$300 ASUS VE276Q Black 27" Full HD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...scrollFullInfo

~$150 Acer G235HAbd 23'' 5ms 1920x1080 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...scrollFullInfo

~$200 Acer H233Hbmid Black 23" http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...scrollFullInfo

Thx
KF

Looking good. Your PSU is little overkill but good if you want to go Crossfire in the future. I don't know about the case, not in sales here in Finland. It looks like HAF 922 or something? biggrin.gif I would recommend BenQ G2420HDBL 24" Full HD LED -monitor. Costs about 200€ in Finland.. 6870 is a great card!

Don't wear socks.
Touch the PSU or metal chassis of the case to discharge any electricity before you do go near the mobo and/or components.

I've looked further into it, and I don't know if the case I'm getting will allow the Cooler-master cooler to fit. Does anyone have any input on this?

I know there is a back attachment I have to install to fit the cpu cooler, but it doesn't seem like its going to fit between the MoBO and the Case...
