Looking for replacement: 5770 or 460 768mb?

I'm looking at these two cards.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-338-_-Product

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127512

Is it worth the 50 bucks for the 460?

Im considering the 5770 because its decent enough for what i need, and in not upgrading, my 4850 died on me.

Also the 5770 only needs one 6 pin connector and is a smaller card. compared to the 2 6 pins the 460 needs and I'm afraid it wont fit in my case.

Basically I'm asking, would I be screwed by buying the 5770? I don't care much for dx11 right now as I don't really see a difference right now.

Right now I'm using my brother 9500gt as a temp while i wait for a new card and even that surprises me buy what it can play at lower res.

Side note:
Would the fact that I am using an amd cpu have an effect?

Thanks.

Specs:
Amd phenom 9550 quad core (2.2)

You should fill out your system specs as it will definitely help us help you

The 5770 is a great budget card, ive never used it but it looks great on paper and a great many members here will support it as a good budget mid range card.

But in the end it depends on what your doing and what resolution your doing it at

The 5770 is not a bad card, I have had several. The GTX460 768 (had 2) is faster but the 5770 is not bad. Both cards are DX11 also.

I like and understand the 1 6 pin need. Only the 5770 has that.

The HIS has less warranty than the MSI though. The HIS warranty is also to one owner with the receipt. MSI is 3 years to anyone in case you want to sell it. Check my GPU warranty spreadsheet for warranty info.

Since you seem to keep GPU's for a long time XFX or nvidia cards with lifetime warranties might be a good idea.

So its about 8 x 4 inches? Thats it? (thats what she said)

Wow so its about the same if not smaller than the 4850?

lol for some reason it looked huge

Later tonight ill double check for room in my case and if i have the correct power connectors.

The card should come with the 4 to 6 pin power connectors right?
