Looking for replacement: 5770 or 460 768mb? - Page 2

i have a 5770 and im quite pleased with it.

I cant really compare too much with the other card cause i have minimal experience with nvidia.

Advantages of the 5770 are:
easily overclockable. I have mine at 960mhz from 850, good temps, very stable.
Just note that the core volt cant be unlocked by all manufacturers, MSI would be the best option for this. If i would have known this before purchasing my saphire i would have get the msi instead.

its not too large of a card, it will fit in most cases
quiet, even at 100% fan speed its not extremely audible
easily extra cooled with a simple front or side fan added to your case.

All in all a good card.

also, ati and amd are built to work well together, not sure exactly how it helps, but its supposed to help boost over all computing performance when combined.

Want power? Go 460

Want a nice budget card that can still kick some ass and ask for more? 5770

So Im thinking of ordering the 460 now but im afraid of the size.

my 4850 had little head room but I didnt have trouble taking it out and putting it back.

Here is my cases specs.

http://support.gateway.com/s/CASES/3...7204Rsp2.shtml

any help would be appreciated.

Is there any risk in ordering it and it not fitting? would it be a pain to return it?

Use this promo code: EMCKJJJ72 for another $20 off.
I've had this card OCed at 900Mhz/1.075v or 850Mhz/stock voltage without problem.
And your case is fine since this card is not long at all. Newegg return & customer service is also the best.
So I'd say go for it.
