Finalized Sandy Bridge build.

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500K

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD3 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.575883

I don't ever intend to use more than one GPU at any given time, and my external HDD is connected via USB, and, from what I can gather, all the current P67 1155 motherboards allow for comparable overclocking results.

I intend on installing a Hyper 212+ or comparable aftermarket cooler at some point, too, for overclocking purposes. So, unless I'm missing something really important, or if there's a better combo deal I'm missing out on, I think the UD3 will satisfy my purposes. I'm trying to stay below $800, so that's another thing.

Case: COOLER MASTER HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 Black SECC/ ABS Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

I don't care a bit about appearance, and it's cheaper than the 690-II and has a greater width. As far as I can tell, it's better for my needs.

Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

Power Supply: Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

From what I've gathered, this is actually a better choice than the Earthwatts 650W. If I'm wrong, or if there's a better product for the price, however, please let me know!

HDD: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=15428666

All other parts are accounted for, and I'm gonna wait on deciding what my new GPU will be come February. (Apparently, 1GB models of the 6950 and 6970 have been announced, and the GTX 560's price remains a mystery, so I'll wait and see.)

Total price: 584.94.

I'm really thinking about pushing the "order" button. But I'm also extremely paranoid!

What are you trying to do with it? Be as specific as possible so I know if I should be recommending RAM with tighter timings, a better PSU, etc. etc.

looks like a good budget build..

Ah, right. It's primarily for gaming, and I do intend to overclock it by a good amount (i.e., 4GHz+). I do some sketching in an old copy of Photoshop, but I don't do anything like 3D rendering or anything like that. But yeah, mostly it's for gaming.

At the moment, I'm waiting to see how the GTX 560 and the 1GB versions of the 6950 and 6970 turn out. If any of them are around $250 and prove to be better than, say, the GTX 470, I'm willing to go a bit over budget and get one of those. (If they're cheaper, even better.)

If, say, none of them turn out to be that great or they end up being more expensive, then I'm probably gonna get either a 460 1GB, a 6850, or a 6870 (the last of which depending on whether or not I can find a deal for it that puts it below $250).

My vote is for a 570 if it's not out of your price range at that time. All the cards you mentioned should be fine for any gaming your gonna do though most likely.

Yeah, I'm pretty set on the HAF.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I'm gonna buy the parts in a few hours.
