This TV as a monitor?

Was just curious if this would make a good monitor for me? I'm gonna be buying it in about a month.

Is it to be used as your primary display?
It's probably doesn't have 120Hz as it's true native refresh rate. I'm pretty sure that when you hook that up to your computer it will have a refresh rate of 60Hz.

To achieve it's "120Hz" all the TV does is insert frames in between frames to make the motion appear more fluid, when in reality the TV is still refreshing at a rate of 60Hz. The pixel ghosting and blurriness will still be there.

Yes, for gaming @1080p. Friend has it and really likes it. As to the above post, you'll get input lag trying to game with 120hz enabled. You can disable it. It's going to double as my primary monitor and television.

If you like it, then I would say go for it.

Maybe try it at your friends house for a bit, and see how you feel with it.

I would not buy that tv. I do not know much about monitors but as far as deals go i would buy this one instead any day.

This TV is $100 less and 10 inches bigger. I have only bought HANNspree computer monitors and they have all been fantastic.

I am guessing that link is a mistake? Haha

Or a really bad joke?

That's the exact same TV that I linked.

Also, sorry, but Hannspree can't compare to Sony. You get what you pay for with the Sony. Also, one of the common cons I see in reviews is viewing angle. The TV will be mounted on the wall kinda high, and this is going in the bedroom. If I'm laying down, I want to be able to see it clearly.

On another note, I don't want 10" bigger. I'm not gonna be sitting across the room from it. I'm gonna be roughly 5-6 feet away.

For my money i'd prefer an actual monitor but that would depend on your audio situation as most monitors don't come with speakers.

I have fantastic computer speakers. That isn't the issue. The TV in my room died, so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone.

My current monitor is only 22", and I want to go to a larger one (this one only does 1680x1050). The prices just don't seem that reasonable on monitors right now. Plus, if I'm gonna upgrade, I want to go to at least 27" to make it worthwhile to spend the money.
