Anyway you are screwed, that phone is destroyed. Its not a small crack from dropping it, it looks like you threw it at the ground. Sending it in for any reason like people have suggested( I.E. the button is lose, no crap its lose the phone is destroyed) will get you no where fast. If the phone still works im sure you can get it repaired, but its gonna be on your hands.
Yes, lol, I'm a Apple fanboy that's why I commented on the brittle back glass, you're retarded. Most of them are fanboys of other things, such as Android or Winodws 7 phones. I also own a Motorola Droid, but nah thanks for playing the retard game, you won!

THe glass backa shatters if there is tiny grains of sand between the case and the actual phone. After scratches are developed they can and break upon some impact
post #43 of 68
if apple doesnt cover the break, i would say get one of those hard skin sticker things for iphone 4 and put your case over that.

i would be able to fix it if you need it fixed. i have fixed several iphones and ipod touches for business. of course you could always try the repair yourself. im sure there is a guide online on how to do it

How to remover the back

The part to do it
OEM

Or something unique
I would take to Apple and see what they do. You never know what they might do. If that does not work then I would tackle the above method. That looks very easy and cheap. I would go for the metal back also.

I have an Otterbox commuter case on it but, it somehow shattered inside?
Same thing happened to me. One night after the club, woke up not remembering anything, i look at my phone and the back is shattered. I was like f**k!!! Thought they were gonna own me at the apple store. Ended up costing me only $30 dollars to get it replaced which was good. He said the front woulda been $200.

apple will charge you under 100 to change the back, unless you get a nice "genius" and he/she will do it for free.

the front is a little more expensive.

or you can go the DIY route and follow the links given to you. i dont know where these people are getting 200+ and saying apple will make you buy another phone.

wow the more i look into the iphone 4 the more i like it. i mean, i have a very strong bias against apple, but (other than design flaws like a glass back) this seems like a decent phone.

they actually made it more friendly to people who are wanting to fix it too. (me being one) in making the backplate removable, while the front gets removed by clicking the clips which is the same with older models.

good luck op!
