hi, i was wondering whats the ideal PSU watt rating i would need for this setup?

Unlocked x560 ~3.8-4ghz cooled with xiggy s1283
Gigabyte GA-880GMA-UD2H
8gb G.skill Ripjaws kit
Old IDE DVD Drive
Samsung Spinpoint F3 320gb
1 extra 80m case fan.

no plan on a vid card. maybe one in the future.
could you guys let me know how much is needed for without a vid card right now? also maybe with a medium sized card in the future?

With a quality 400W it will run that with any single graphics card up to a 5850 or GTX460.

Without a video card your wattage is going to be low... maybe 150w load? Really depends on what video card you plan on getting. Corsair CX 400/430 or a similar wattage Antec Neo Eco or Earthwatts should be fine for most cards. If you planned for the worst/highest end video cards something in the 500 - 550w like the Antec True Power New 550w or the Seasonic 520. And maybe consider paying the small premiums for features like modular cables.

Even if its a microAtx board?
Any suggestions on something 40-50$? Don't laugh but im in the process of returning a Rosewill 700w.... it runs kinda droopy and fluctuates. I would stare at it and wait for it to blow up or ruin something .

your suggestions will be appreciated. i shoulda bow'd down to your knowledge a long time ago.

The form factor of the board doesn't matter much.

Try the Antec NeoECO 400W.

Size of your board wont matter, size of your case would though.

Meh. They are ALRIGHT. They definitley wont blow up your computer, but you'd be better off saving your money and getting a more decent supply with something like a NEO ECO.
