Post your Sandy bridge OCs - Page 8

Anyone here actually test with p95? I've gone through IBT plenty of times with various chips and architectures and pass with many unstable yet fail p95. I wouldn't trust IBT especially after just 5 runs.

So the H67s do not allow even the unlocked ks to OC? Talk about a some money grabbing being done this generation by Intel. I guess that's their way of telling people to fess up the money after seeing how many people got 1+GHz OCs with their 750/760 and 920. Intel may have made a performance champ but they're on the very edge of reasonable pricing for it right now.

How many of you guys are doing air? I remember everyone claiming 5GHz was supposed to be do-able that way but I really figured they meant 4.

He's using a gigabyte board. It's reflecting Vtt.

However, I'm curious if you guys are throttling under heavy load with high overclocks b/c the linpack results on gflops look abysmal. A 5ghz i7 920 should be around 70flops using linpack (ibt or linx).

Yeah I was noticing that as well. My old X6 got 73 GFlops at 4GHz and we all know AMD's fair poorly in clock for clock.

Yah but the x6's kill i7's in gflops because of the extra cores. I think a 4ghz i7 only gets like 60 gflops. And HT just makes it worse.

I believe a 2600k gets around 56 with HT on and 68 with HT off. (@4.8)

No idea why, just how the program was written I guess.
