Evga p67 sli

Anyone know the release date and price of the upcoming board? EVGA boards always get great reviews and it would look sick in my case.

Also, how will it compare to the ASUS & Gigabyte boards in the same price range?

Thanks!

All the way at the end of the month, with the Classified and Micro coming out in February.
From EVGA's Jacob:

Nothing confirmed on pricing...though EVGA has a reputation of being rather high-priced...

Damn, that is unfortunate. -_-

I'm most likely going to be waiting on the 560 to release at the end of the month anyways so it's not a huge deal. As long as it's out by the 25th, I don't mind at all.

What do you expect their "high price" to be? I'm just looking to get the base P67 SLI board and not the Classified, so as long as it is in the $200 or less range, I'll be just fine with it.

Couldn't tell ya pricing...it took days of pounding them on their forums before we got that much info out of EVGA.
They're exceptionally tight-lipped, and I haven't seen any reviews yet.

Any idea what type of BIOS the EVGA boards will feature and if they will at least have UEFI Support? I can't find much about it. I just want to know if it's going to be worth it before I wait that long. -_-

I actually read through the thread on the EVGA forums that you referred to and wow. lol I mean, I understand that production gets pushed back at times, but they're instigating additional frustration from customers when they are being so vague and mysterious about their reasoning. I'd much rather them take their time and get it right, but ASUS and Gigabyte both already have their high end boards out and EVGA can't even release their base model in the allotted time? I just don't appreciate "it'll be out sometime by the end of this month" when so many people are prolonging their builds in anticipation for those boards.

I laugh at the people who have brand loyalty...all I've got to say is just wait til they screw you over when their board melts your 24-pin and then almost your entire system.
There's certainly companies out there that have a better design team, such as Peter Tan with Asus, and aren't tinkering around with their warranties

EVGA site shows the P67 SLi MSRP $199.99
That price is a bit too high if you ask me, the mobo doesn't have as many sata 6Gb/s ports like other vendors offer.

The Classified i bet will be around $380 (+/- $20) when it finally comes out. The mobo only has 2 sata 6Gb/s ports which is a big fail if you ask me. EVGA flagship mobo and they cut too many corners to increase profits.

So far evga current P67 lineup is disappointing.
They don't have one P67 version with 4 sata 6Gb/s ports or with one PCI slot.

That P67 Classified has even more crap things about it than that...
The complete waste of the only x1 slot due to its positioning in relation to the NF200 heatsink, the fact that the 4-pin molex for the PCI lanes is all the way up in the middle of the board, and they still put the reset/clear CMOS buttons below the bottom PCIe slot.

If that's worth waiting til the middle or end of February for, along with the probable price tag MSim mentioned, then have at it.

Evga isn't really known for their mobo skills. They have exceptional customer service (ime) and awesome perks when you get one of their GPUs.

Oh and I laugh at idiots who laugh at people with brand loyalty and/or named rigs.

Thank you for your factless post, and childish namecalling...
EVGA was known for board skills, when they had Shamino and a decent team onboard. They brought the industry the original Classified, as well as 4-Way SLI. But that time has come and gone, and the results are pictured above.
Not sure what the perks are to their GPU, other than their 30-day Step Up program which only has select products included and a clouded future with their mucking around with the warranties.
