Quiet HSF recommendation

Thread Starter
I'd like to replace my stock cooler on my 1090T below with something quieter, that provides better cooling. I don't plan on doing any overclocking. Any recommendations? Any price range is fine. I was looking at the Noctua NH-C12P .

Thanks

The quietest solution I've used to date would be a Prolimatech Megahalem paired with a single 1450rpm Gentle Typhoon.

Excellent cooling which was inaudible to my ears.

NH-C12P is selling at around US$73-76. For the same price range, I recommend Thermalright HR-02. It is designed to run fanless, providing ultimate quiet-ness.

Whether you run it fanless or with a low speed fan (600-800rpm), it provides excellent performance.

If you order this, remember to get the mounting bracket accessory (AMS BTK Rev. C) to fit your CPU socket.
