Upgrade now or later from laptop? (wait for bulldozer?)

Thread Starter
So I'm finally breaking free of the clutches of my HP laptop(core 2 duo 2.0Ghz) and entering the world of custom builds. My laptop is underpowered for any gaming with a decent framerate and I'm doing more animation and my laptop takes forever to render the stuff.
So the point being I'm getting pretty desperate for a Desktop and I finally have the money to put one together. My budget it $1300 (not including taxes/shipping or monitor). I've gone ahead and put the parts I want in a newegg wishlist, except for two the Motherboard and CPU. I'm going away and won't start this build until the end of February, so after the essay above my question is, should I wait for Bulldozer or go and get a Phenom II X6 1090T Black editon? Please consider what the release price will be and I believe Bulldozer will be using the new AM3+ socket.

I dont know when AM3 is coming out but let me just tell you that any desktop configuration with that amount of money will blow your laptop out of the water! Also, sandy bridge is expected to have really good performance for the price and with that budget you willhave a nice build
