this might worth u a try.

7F is "Waiting for user input". The mobo basically has completed POST and is giving a user a warning like "Hit F1 to Enter BIOS" or "Keyboard Not Detected"

If you don't get a display at this point... check your video card, monitor, and cabling.
Once again...

i know this may sound like a rookie thing, but when I did my computer build i kept getting 7F errors in the end problem was that the power cables to the gfx cards were not locked in supplying power to the cards. I would check it out just in case wink.gif

Okay, now I get the post screen on my monitor. Under the post screen, it says this:

CMOS checksom error - defaults loaded
Warning! CPU has been changed.
Please re-enter CPU settings in the CMOS setup and remember to save before quit!

F1 to continue DEL to enter setup
__________________________________________________________________________

So I push DEL and enter setup. I look around at the bios, and theres nothing wrong. It's at the complete stock bios. I then change my boot priority so my ssd is first, and save. It then shuts off and turns back on. Nothing happens on my monitor, but I don' get a 7F.

That's all it was telling you. Something was different, and it wanted you to know. That's what 7F is.

Okay...But why can't I change anything in the bios without it not booting up? It also says CMOS checksum error when I boot up, and I heard that means I need to replace the battery. Is that true?

Could be. I'd also make sure the Clear CMOS button isn't stuck down or what have you.

I had this problem with my 480 and my foxconn bloodrage. I recommend updating your bios. Unplug all your hdds and reset cmos so you can get to the "Press F1" screen. Follow this guide to get a bootable flashdrive (Link) You can also do a CD

Flash it and then once it's done reboot and if you can get into the bios. Find the option that says something like "Restore optimized defaults" save and exit.

Hope that helps
