How to wait a certain time in assembly?

Thread Starter
Using the intel x86 instruction set, is there a command that allows me to wait a certain time before continuing? Or will I have to make a loop that keeps checking for time passed using the INT 1AH fct 02h?

Hiya Pat

Use standard win32 api.
Say you want 1 second (1000 milliseconds):

push 1000
call Sleep

or for MASM invoke syntax:

Invoke Sleep, 1000

Hope that is of any help whatsoever.
