Do I really need silver or could I use a coin or sumth?

Well I just got my first watercooling set, the RS360, got it all installed and working, there's no bubbles etc. Nice temps. I'm using pure Distilled water but I've been told to get silver I like cbf making another order and paying for postage, again -.- Could I just like a coin or something? What else can I use other than silver? How long will my loop last without it? and if does corrode is tehere a way of going back? like cleaning it etc..

Cheers.

Most silver coins are not 100% pure.

You can find pure 99.9% silver lines or little bars in jewelery materials stores.

If it gets corroded , i think i've seen people using diluted vinegar, then again it could rust out your rad more?

I'm not too sure, try your local watch repair shop for some .999 silver.

I'm in Australia and the 5c coin is the only coin that I'd be able to get into the res.

I'm not too sure? Someone more knowledged on the subject, will probably stop by and be able to answer your question.

Can I hop in here?

is a 9.25 silver neck chain pure enough? I got told by a old jewelry shop woman that that is the purest they can get.
