Prime95 - Closes by itself

Thread Starter
Hi all.

I was trying to run Prime95 to check my stability. Each time after a few minutes, Prime95 will close by itself. There are no illegal operations, no errors, it simply just closes. Stock multiplier is at x17 and even at x17.5, prime95 still closes by itself so I really think it isn't any stability problem.

Anyone?

Do you see it close by itself? If not, and you are away from the computer when it closes, Prime95 may be causing a BSOD and resetting your computer automatically. Then you come back to a clean desktop not because prime95 closed, but because your computer was reset due to a BSOD.

If you see it close, then I have no idea. cheers.gif

I'm sitting here watching tv, which is directly next to my monitor. It just closes by itself as if I mouse over X and click it. No restarts, no BSOD's, nothing.

put it in a different folder, happened to me, guess it didn't like that it already had logs in that folder.

The answer is clear! You've found all the prime numbers in existence and the program simply closes, knowing its completely done.

Where is the folder for p95 currently located? Anyway I would place it in a different folder or drive. It sounds like something is interfering with it.
