Why not trying to push the clocks a bit higher? For example, try with 1.32-1.35v and ramp up the multiplier. Perhaps u will hit something like 4.6 or higher?

I have tried every combo available after last night. With using the boards OC setting I had the best outcome. And 4.4 is the sweet spot. 4.5 with manual setting may work but I didnt feel as good about it becasue I'm not sure of the best config as the auto OC makes tweaks that I am unaware of.

Bottom line is after 4.4 I have to make a pretty big jump in vcore (from 1.25 to 1.32) to get stability @ 4.6 in vcore which pushes my temps using Prim95 up to 90c - Not worth the extra 200 MHz.

Maybe with a new BIOS I might play again but for now I'm quite happy!

No I'm using my Tunic Tower from my Q6600. I dont think these are high temps at all. Any chip will have hi temos when you push it past the sweet spot.

I just noticed ASRock removed the 1.40 bios from their download page.
I wonder if there's something wrong with it and I shouldn't be using it?

Yet, it's still available on their FTP server.

nothing to worry about;a german extreme 4 user got in touch with asrock support-that was their answer:
