If you don't mind dealing with the mail-in rebate, for $25 the CX430 can't be beat.

Actually the newer Basiq units are made by Delta and are a bit better than the FSP ones.

Absolutely!

Since you found a better deal on the CX430 at Canada Computers, I'll spend a few minutes here shopping around to see what I can find for you just to see if I can find something even better.

Based on other comments I have seen by Phaedrus2129 throughout OCN, I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole.

This isn't a personal attack on you. I'm just trying to expose how bad the Basiq units really are.

Edit: I didn't take notice that it's a Basiq Plus.

The Basiq units aren't "bad" and they're definitely better than ThermalTake TR2 RX units or Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus or Elite units for around the same price.

If you guys end up deciding that you would rather not have to deal with waiting for a mail-in rebate, then you can get the CX400 for $49.88 which is almost the same as the CX430, but just slightly better:

Oh, I have no reason to take it as an attack. Also, I've read numerous of Phaedrus's PSU posts/threads and certainly do not have even a tenth of the knowledge he has with PSUs. I just think in this particular case (not looking at all the fine points there are to know about PSUs in general and in the most extreme cases), the BP550 would be just fine.

(And I apologize to Phaedrus that my comment before this was worded that way. It wasn't meant to be a smartass comment.)
