How the heck would that increase GPU temps? That fan on the psu sucks in air from the case and blows the heat out the back, just as the GPU fan does. If anything it creates better airflow in that area.
Also, Antec does make cases with a bottom inlet, and those that don't you can mount fan up or down (which is not an issue at all since their is plenty of space for airflow).
Having the PSU at the bottom gives the case a bit better balance having more weight at the bottom. When the ATX standard was written, many times the only fan a case had was in the PSU, so it exhausted the heat from the case (at the top) as well as cooler the PSU components.Edited by blupupher - 1/14/11 at 11:30am
