Need a great priced Crucial C300 or OCZ Vertex 2 Drive - Help

Has anyone seen good prices on drives like those listed in the title recently? I am looking for fast SSD's for an awesome price and have yet to see some decent prices.

I am shooting for no less than 60GB as it will house my OS+Apps and I considered dual booting with Linux which I am not sure if that is a good idea or not on an SSD or not.

Also, what is the lowest price anyone has seen on these and will there be any new SSD drives I should wait to see the reviews and prices for?

Thanks

Vertex 3's will be out sometime this year, but I love the Vertex 2/Agility 2 series of SSD's.

Newegg has the Vertex 2 60GB here for $129.99, but I'm sure you can find one for less on the OCN Marketplace.

I am just really hoping something goes on sale soon for an unbeatable price.

Keep an eye out at Newegg and Microcenter.

Newegg usually has sales on sandforce SSD's.

Actually, the Corsair Force and Patriot Inferno's aren't that shabby either.

Well, here's a question for ya: what's a good price?

Well.... I guess I would say I am looking to spend no more than $100 on a drive as I will want to get two of them. One for my new Intel desktop I am building and one for my wife's Gateway FX laptop (I assume this will make a drastic difference even on a laptop). I know all she will really be putting on the SSD is the OS, Adobe, and Office. Same for me although I may choose to put other development/design software on there as well. Games and media will go on F3 Spinpoints (possibly in RAID 1). Currently these SSD's are too expensive for me to RAID two of them for the OS, etc. Again, not sure if Linux is a good idea or not, but I am thinking 20GB for a Linux partition is enough. Not sure how that effects performance on these though. Guess I could opt for two 60GB drives and do it that way too.

At the top end I would be willing to go $120 for something that is more capacity than 60GB.

I just bought a C300 for $105 shipped, new. However, it appears the coupon code has expired.

There is a new code up for $110 shipped for the C300. HIBERNATE10 at superbiiz.

Thanks... will have to check that out when I get home from work. How does it compare against the Vertex 2?

Had you been a day or 2 earlier you could have scored a 64gb C300 for $105 at superbiiz. Not sure if the HELLO2011 code is still good?
