Windows Device Manager. Devices that Windows can not find drivers for will show up in the "Other Devices" section under the name of "Unknown Device." Here

However, even if Windows Device Manager lists a a device as being installed and having the proper drivers, I would still go to the manufacturers website to download the most up-to-date drivers. These will most likely improve the devices' performance.
SSDs, just like every other component, need drivers to operate properly. Without SSD drivers, the TRIM command would not be implemented, and therefore SSD performance would degrade very quickly.
And yes, Windows 7 will update your drivers automatically.
