How many hours if Prime do I really need? - Page 11

Your voltage seems extremely high for only 4ghz. I would turn off speed step if you have it enabled.

Alright, but if I lower the vcore, do I need to re-run all tests again?

I've run:

Prime95 with large FFT for 6 hours
IBT 50 times with 9500MB size
memtest with 10 * 900MB + 2 * ~300MB

Can I just rerun IBT ~20 times to ensure that the vcore is OK ?

Did anyone mention decreasing the time to fun each FFT lenght in Prime?
I usually lower mine to 5 or 6 minutes and it takes much less time to find errors if there are any.

Another thing there is a big difference between "stable for you(anyone) and 100% stable. If you get a rounding error in the 24th hour of blend, imo, the system is still stable unless you are actually going to be loading the CPU constantly and continuously(maybe folding).

I say 8-12 Hours should be fine. I fold, and F@H doesn't stress anything as hard as prime, so if its stable in prime for 10 hrs, it should fold 24/7 without problem biggrin.gif

I've disabled all those features, but the vcore seem to vary from time to time anyways, is that normal? I guess it can't be exactly the same all the time?

It may have something to do with your VREG temps. ive noticed that the hotter the vreg gets, the higher Vcore goes.....

Ah that's interesting.. Another side note, can I turn on the green features to save power when I do not use the computer too much? Or will that probably result in a bad OC ?

And does this look ok?

Cool. If I enable those and maybe lower the vcore again, do I need to re-run all the "stability"-testing?
