REALLY nice exposure. I love the spotlight effect, and the balance between the internal lighting, the external lighting, and the low ambient background is sweet. Well done.

Again, great cameo lighting on the case itself (although it might be a smidge overexposed), but in this image, for me there are a few too many distracting background elements. In particular, the photos and other postboard(?) items to the left of the two fan screens undermine the drama of the silhouette. This image would also be stronger without the pushpins at the bottom and the loose cabling at the right. The deep blue background behind the case in the top 1/4 of the frame is really luscious so if that contrast continued around the border of the case, this would be a winner.

I finally got around to shooting my main rig. (I wanted to upgrade my SATA cables before I did and was sidetracked when the dozen cables I ordered, turned out not to support “new” stacked connectors on my two motherboards; after I’d labeled them with an indelible marker. Fortunately, Akasa and Performance-PCs came to my aid and shipped me a dozen new PROSLIM 6Gb SATA cables free-of-charge!)
To my surprise the mirror finish in the Silver Arrow turned out to be easier to manage, (glare-wise) than the Noctua in my other system? I used black foam-core strategically clipped to the reflectors and soft boxes to block the glare from the more reflective surfaces.

I post-processed the images to remove the lens distortion, and re-balance the contrast.

Per threephi request, I’ve included a shot of the whole camera setup, (I used my phone because I don’t have a second camera; it’s a really old phone.) Later, I remembered I have a web-cam that can shoot HD stills. Maybe next time...

You can barely make out that my camera is connected to my other PC, so I can operate the remote-shooting application. You can also see that the biggest impediment to taking good photographs, (besides talent), is space in my office. I’m considering picking up some vinyl background material so I can setup in another location with more space.
