Recommend A Sound card

Hey I am big into gaming and I also use my pc for watching movie's on my tv, as well as listening to music. So I was looking for some recommendations on an Audio solution.

I have ath ad700 and z-5500 speakers I need to be able to use both. I was looking at http://www.overclock.net/hardware-ne...-titanium.html but it doesn't have a built in headphone amp so in that case I would need a cheap amp because I really want to experience good audio. I was also thinking about an Asus Xonar Xense that would work perfectly for me but it is only bundled with headphones. If anyone else could recommend an Asus Card that has an Amp like the Xense and can work well with 5.1 for the z-5500's that would be awesome. I also like that with the Xense you don't have to constantly switch plug's like I have to when switching from my headset to z-5500's currently.

At my local Fry's Electronics they're selling refurbished Titanium Fatal1ty Pros for 80$, which is like 50$ off. The Xonar DX is just $10 more. I'm going to get the Fatal1ty though, because I'm poor, and I imagine that both will be a step up from my SIIG Soundwave 7.1 PCI.

In any case, I recommend getting one of those midget PCIe cards, because if you don't then you won't be able to crossfire / SLI in the future. Most motherboards are designed that way.

You're big into gaming and have a large budget. You also have good headphones and need an amp. That's a very easy call, auzentech x-forte if you can find one. Otherwise you could splurge on the home theater.... it has the same features as the forte but includes some hdmi jazz and is more expensive.

dont do creative. i dont care for all the crap they try and install on ur computer, calling it "critical" in the automatic updater. im becoming a fan of asus stuff though, so i say the xonar.

also, the creative is kind of like a puzzle to set up correctly. its a pain.

As much as I don't want to say this, the Titanium HD uses a few high end components you wouldn't expect to see on a creative product. I'm not too sure about the Op-amps, but I do know the DAC for example is better than what ASUS offers on the Xonar Essence ST/STX. (TI Burr Brown PCM1794 vs PCM 1792)

Personally, I haven't had a chance to listen to it, but I'm honestly considering buying one (when it goes on sale) since I haven't been satisfied with the Oxygen chips for gaming.

Thanks for everyones help I have decided to go with the Creative card, since it was ~150$ and in stock at the store I happened to have a gift card for.
