Quick Case Dimension Question

Alright, parts came in today.
My case is 18" Deep (17" airflow space) x 16" Tall x 8" Wide.

My GPU is roughly 9" long (judging by the box) this leaves a 1/2" gap between HDD, however - I can move the HDD up or down in the caddy area.

The case has 1 side fan, 1 vented area just below the PSU area on the back (top mount PSU) and one fan (currently noisy) on the front, sucking air from under the front bezel and blowing it inside the case.

My questions...
1. Will this run cool? 125Watt AM3 Phenom II x4 CPU...and 1 HD5770 GPU, stock fan cooler from powercolor...and 1 Blue Western Digital (medium level speed) HDD
2. If it isn't going to run cool, will it hurt just running this for a week or so with some "rigged" cooling... I.E. no side cover, adding a fan to the back vented area, etc? (I don't want to have it get dirty with a house fan though)

It's just an older one I got from geeks.com about 4 years ago. It is stylish (imo) but it is just a bit smaller than the new ones...unnamed... :/

Well, had vehicle issues today, helped my dad fix those since school got out, until just now...11:45. I will start my build tomorrow in this case. I figure I can do anything if I put effort into it, I just can't make metal expand like I wish I could. I'll maybe take pictures if it doesn't turn out bad. (blood from sharp corners after tin snips and such)

Here's the fit with PSU and Motherboard. Any suggestions? Will this work out this close together?

Here's some other pictures of my old case.
