Sorry if this is posted in the wrong area T_T

Im new to overclocking, recently purchased a shiny new system and want to make it run harder

Current specs

Specs

CPU = Intel Core i7 950 3.06Ghz (Overclocked to 4.14Ghz)

Mobo = ASRock X58 Extreme3

Gpu - Galaxy GeForce gtx 480 1536mb gddr5

Ram - Hynix 6gb ddr3 1333mhz

Case - Antec three hundred (soon to be changed)

Storage -

Primary 1Tb Western Digital

Secondary 500gb seagate

Tertiary 1tb Western Digital

Temps

(From SpeedFan)

C

Gpu

Idle - 40

Load - 72

Cpu

Idle - (Unkown ATM)

Load - 50

So can I overclock the CPU anymore than 4.14Ghz ?

And to what safe temps can I overclock my GPU ?

Any help, suggestions or information greatly appreciated (:

If you are only getting 50c load temps using P95, all 8 threads, blend or small ftt...then yes, you have much more headroom to OC. The i7 will be safe up to around 85-90c under FULL load, and the GTX 480 can handle 90-95c. Personally, I would keep the i7 under 75-80c, and the 480 under 85c.

Also, you should use Realtemp for temperatures, and Prime95 for stress testing...either blend or small FTT. blend uses your ram, small FTT doesn't (anywhere near as much) 32 bit 64 bit
