A lot of people seem to think that because something is demanding, then it's poorly coded. You know what they say, "everyone's a critic"

i wonder what the price difference is between using say the unreal engine 3 to make a game and using something more modern like the 4A engine that Metro 2033 was made from? Maybe that was one of the deciding factors in creating the game. To save on cost you know.

The only game I want a console port of is FIFA, and EA just keep saying 'it wont run on lesser pcs so we wont do it'. Yeah right!

Bulletstorm looks great in its own rights. Gameplay far different to any other FPS, so regardless of whether it is a port or not it still looks good and should run very well on lower specced pcs

Care to explain the MASSIVE memory leak in unpatched Crysis then?

Whatever. I don't mind games being multiplatform as long as we get PC releases. Complain about the consoles all you want, but there are many ports on the PC right now that are good games. The half-assed unoptimized ones suck, but the majority are decent.

I do think the decrepit DX9 needs to go the way of the dinosaur though. It's a fossil. Previous DX incarnations would last a year, tops. DX9 has been around for, what, 6-7 years now? If there is one thing devs aren't doing, it's pushing anything graphically. The best looking PC game is 3 years old now and I seriously doubt Crysis 2 is going to do anything mind blowing.

AWESOME AND FUN TO PLAY.

that's what should matter most to PC gamers.

lets pretty trees and colorful butterflies be of a console gamers worry. So what if its dx9, yea i get it, it's old outdated blah blah

if the game is awesome and the replay value is moderately high, then the dev did it's job, yes?

That doesn't work so well when you say its still a great game, and its only 8 -10 hours long tops.

I wouldn't say Metro is poorly coded, but Crysis(I just finally played through and beat it, bought 2008) is incredible buggy during the second half of the game. It took mee 3 hours to kill the last boss because it was bugging out.

Crysis was definitely a poorly made game. Metro 2033 just needs power to run with high settings.
