Massive memory leak!!

Thread Starter
For some reason, my RAM usage dropped from the usual 1.4GB to 1GB, then suddenly shot up to 3.85GB. Then dropped to 850MB!

I don't see anything using any more than 150MB of RAM (firefox) and got 70 processes.

What's going on here?

Sounds like to me you have a app running in the back ground with a memory leak. as i never had any problems with windows 7 x64 memory leaking. Have you checked for a service or back ground app that is running? Or perhaps something you just installed maybe?

Checked them. Nothing was using that much.

Downloading malwarebytes and scanning, but I'm sure I don't have any viruses.

Did you click "show processes for all users" in task manager?

Yup

Nothing that shows it. I'm guessing it's in windows it self.
