Yeah, the PSP Go was a failure it was expensive, didn't have the best games on it from the regular PSP and IMO it was ugly.

So, you get legal help to slow it down until you have time to change the locks... YEAH REAL BIG FAIL THERE LOL!!1one!
LOL, big fail there buddy.

It is not like you described. You buy a house with a security system, you find a way to use it without paying the security company any $, you tell all your friends about it and they do the same thing. People own there ps3, again You OWN your PS3. The US courts have already said, you can modify your ps3 in ANY WAY YOU CHOOSE, it may void your warranty, but you can do whatever you want to it. If you want to offer to help others do the same thing, you can. Sony has no legal leg to stand on and they know it, thats why they tried to file the ORO, and not a lawsuit. they are trying to bide there time to try to fix it and get there hands on exactly what was done to hack it and then try to fix it before it can be released.

Which is why people who have modded their console have never been sued. They can sue the creators which is what they are doing because they have illegally modified the code and released it. They can ban you from the online services because you are not using the licensed software.

Like I said when GeoHot release his hack; he's a moron for releasing it. Had he approached Sony with the way around the security they may have considered offering him a job opportunity like he suggested them to. Just for spreading it around like a d**k he deserves only the worst in legal penalties. I'm on Sony's side, and I'm by no means a Sony fanboy; I'm actually not crazy at all about them nor PS3. This guy really deserves what I hope is coming to him.

All this is going to do is encourage all other hackers to exploit this more, the reason we have this jailbreak is because sony sued the company which sold the usb jailbreak sticks. Sony's removal of the other os function was also a motivating factor.

He didn't modify the console. He released Sony's code. Big difference.

I got a lovely kick in the stomach from a boot full of laughter over this.

Mirror of GeoHot's PS3 Jailbreak
January 11, 2011:

Our friends at Sony are having another bad day: i.e., doing something breathtakingly stupid, presumably because they don't know any better. This time they're suing George Hotz for publishing PS3 jailbreak information, as reported by EnGadget and Attack of the Fan Boy. Hotz's jailbreak allows PS3 owners to run the software of their choice on a machine they have legally purchased. His site is geohot.com.

Free speech (and free computing) rights exist only for those determined to exercise them. Trying to suppress those rights in the Internet age is like spitting in the wind.

We will help our friends at Sony understand this by mirroring the geohot jailbreak files at Carnegie Mellon.

GeoHot Mirror

Note to Sony lawyers: no doubt you're eager to rack up another billable hour by sending legal threats to me and my university. Before you go down that unhappy road, check out what happened the last time a large corporation tried to stop the mirroring of technical information here: The Gallery of CSS Descramblers. Have you learned anything in ten years?

What about the people who bought the PS3 partly because of the OtherOS functionality?
Now they have it back. BECAUSE OF SONY HAVING AN EPIC FAIL.

Sorry if I don't feel bad for the huge company.
