Best Buy fund

Thread Starter
During Christmas, I received two Best Buy gift cards, both of which create a total sum of 136$.

While having actual gift cards as opposed to pure finances noticeably limits my options, Best Buy still has a few things that I found curious.

One of them being a sound blaster x-fi titanium. I was wondering whether any of you would actually recommend that card, or whether I should focus on something else.

If you have good enough speakers, then do it. I would get an SSD, but I don't think BB sells those XD

I don't know what you use your system for but it is to the point where I would say it is rather out of date and I would consider doing a whole new build but if that is out of the option you could get the sound card because it doesn't seem that bad (4 out of 5 eggs on Newegg).

But I would go for a 1TB Western Digital Black HD or grab another Seagate 500 GB and raid them.

I am not sure myself.

my speakers are certainly not top of the line, but I am actually planning to get a good pair of headphones.

My current speakers are Logitech X-540

Would you really consider it to be that out of date?

Getting a new build is actually indeed an option. Although I do not think that getting a larger HD would be the best starting point for one. I am perfectly happy with two of my 500GB's. (and sorry for not upgrading my specs)

getting a headset from there would actually not be something that I would want to do, most of the models out there either appear to be gimmicks or of a questionable quality.
