Well you could always flash the 6950 to a 6970 and save money there, but inb4fanboy I would personally recommend a 460 or 470 since performance vs. price is pretty outstanding.

a 6950 is definitely worth it, also amd will fix the cards so they won't be able to unlock to ^70's anytime soon.

My previous post show benchmark on gtx 460/470 on par with a 6850/6870 and they're cheaper by $20ish dollars.

Is this true? I've heard it too but it hasn't been confirmed yet...

The GTX 460 and ATI 6850 is exactly my budget limit. The GTX 470 and 6870 is $260+ but if I added $29 dollars more I can get a 6950... Either way I think I'm leaning towards the 6850 unless they're going to lock the 6950 from flashing into a 6970 then I'm really considering buying it before that happen.

Edit: Just saw a previous post on GTX460 vs 6870 and the GTX 460 seems to be the best bang for the buck.

Ya know I have 3 LCD's but I'm only using 2 because my 8800gt is only limited to 2 outputs. I was reading that eyefinity work with 3 different monitor size as long as it have the same resolution. All 3 monitor support 1920x1080. If I was to buy a 6950 and eyefinity 3 LCD's will my CPU bottleneck the performance?

I've decided to order the xfx 6950 with the active display port adapter for next day shipping. After confirming the order I notice Amazon didn't have any estimated shipping date... I looked at my order again and it was out of stock! Cancelled my 6950 and look at other brands, EVGA, Sapphire, XFX, MSI, etc... they all were out of stock except for the Asus 6950 going for $333. So I order from a 3rd party on Amazon but I'm thinking about cancelling it since estimated shipping date will be from Jan 20-25. I keep searching and I saw the VisionTek 6950 available on amazon and $3.99 next day shipping. My question is should I cancelled the XFX 6950 and go with VisionTek? both card are unlockable right? what about the warranty and such?

I wouldn't know about VisionTek, but my experience with the XFX warranty and RMA process has been very positive. They replaced my 4870 with a 5830 because of a busted fan, and both times I've RMA'd they never took more than 3 days to get the new card shipped.
