Yeah, I'm still running Eclair on my LG Ally . We were supposed to get a Froyo update a while ago but it never came...

Lame. My Galaxy S is still running 2.2 since a 2.3 update has been delayed by Samsung in effort to keep the 4G version selling. Funny thing is, the regular Galaxy S supports 4G frequencies in the modem just not enabled in 2.2. What really makes me angry is that I'm limited to 256 MB RAM with 2.2 when the Galaxy S HAS 512MB due to OS limitations!

So.. provide a "upgrade" simply by changing some looks and keeping a vital update away from your "older" line that is the same hardware to make more money, expected..

I running with Gingerbread 2.3 at the moment on my galaxy S, its only a beta or developers version but it pretty good and so quick, was alot of trouble to get it running properly, thought i had bricked my phone at one stage but then the bugs kicked in and my 3G went astray and few other minor issues but still very good considering its only a developers version with a few tweaks, switches back to froyo 2.2 till samsung release the full version. Anyone else tried 2.3?

Just google Darky's Rom. I'm so happy with my S that I don't really care if they will ever update anything again.
