[Y] MySpace slashes half its global staff - Page 4

myspace should really just focus more on the Band profile aspect of the site.
Thats about the only real use it has these days.

ANNOYING, CONFUSING, NEW CRAP LAYOUT IS KILLING MYSPACE.

And lets not forget hot Myspace took over imeem, and millions of imeem users were pissed about that. Myspace keeps digging their own self into a hole. I recently gave up on myspace , i did manage to save 2 old 1.0 pages, but hell it doesn't feel the same anymore. Myspace needs to either go back to where it started and let imeem to itself or they will die.

Old news. But, indeed, myspace is a goner.

Facebook catered to all audiences. Myspace focused only on the 16-23ish crowd. That is why they fail

a bit lazy to hit the block button? or ya know...not read the posts?

not hard to just skim past them. oh, and there is a way to block from seeing the game invites and junk like that.

instead of complaining about it, you could just go do that.

Companys are free to run the country here. Literally.
Unfortunately 'screwing people over' has become a common business attitude towards those employed.

How many reports as of late have you heard about people getting swindled out of pensions that were promised by their company? What about mass layoffs?

It's important to recognize the difference when a company has been completely irresponsible and affects the lives of many. "Pay people just because" is a pretty short-sighted argument. The problem lies with companies squandering resources on an unsustainable business model, with absolutely NO regard to the welfare of it's employees.

How is this not greed?

No it bloody well should not. It's inadequate for bands and I wish bands would STOP using it.

Facebook is larger than MySpace ever was, but it's not going to last forever. Give it four years, it's popularity will decline. And yes, something else, for better or for worse, will replace it.
