[Solved] 460GTX Power/Wiring

Hey Guys,

Just bought a MSI 460GTX Fermi, wondering if with my sig rigs PSU will be okay?

Reason I ask is I have an 6pin cable laying around from my original build and it has a red end and a black end. The red matches the 12v3 and I have another 12v1 for the other 6pin.

Should I:

12v1/card
12v3/card

or

12v1/card
12v1(RED END)/card

or

12v1/card
stop being cheap and buy new cable 12v1/card

I thought the 460s used two 6 pin PCI power cables? I can't seem to find a schematic of your PSU and what power each rail can handle, i suggest finding that and not plugging in more than the maximum rates current for each. (A 6 pin connector can technically draw 75W)

My apologies, it is 2 6 pins, not 2 8 pins. Don't know why I was thinking 8 pin.

here is the schematic

http://www.antec.com/pdf/manuals/BP5..._EN_manual.pdf

EDIT:
I went for gold (stupid) and tried:

(red)6pin/460
6pin/460

I couldn't get anything on the screen, but the card's fan was clearly working. It might be because I just installed a new mobo as well, but I am unsure, I've since taken the card out.

Yeah i found that too but I couldn't find the diagram showing which cables were connected to which rails and what the rails were rated at.

Ah, here are the ratings on the side of the PSU

+12v1 (22a) (.5a)
+12v2 (22a) (.5a)
+12v3 (25a) (.5a)
+12v (.5a) (0a)

Does this help at all?

I also tried the 6 pin PCI-E cable and a molex adapter as the second 6 pin, but that didn't work either, no display, just fan spinning.
