x6 owners w/ 4ghz+ on air , please come in - Page 2

running mine at 4.1 (200x20.5, 1.425v) 3000nb (1.35 cpu-nb) with an h50 in push/pull and load temps are 50-52

24/7 prime overnight stable
why do you guys need so much voltage ?

I'm only a 1.4125 at 4.0ghz and 1.3125 cpu-Nb for 3.0ghz
it's prime stable, just did it last night for 8 hours no error.

I do believe 1.475 was max for X6 on air too.

not mention the Core temp is way off 10-20C sometimes.

Based on my testing, I am fairly certain that a Silver Arrow or D14 could handle 1.5 or 1.525 volts.

I had mine clocked to 4.2 on 1.525 and never exceeded 57 on the socket temps. Of course, each chip is different, but for mine it looked good (just was NOT stable).

indeed they are as my chip has a very low Vid 1.275.
probably better for cold then air.

What about the Prolimatech Megahalems? From what I've heard they are very good!

Thread Starter
i guess i'm going w/ a silver arrow

anyone know a cheap place in the US to get them?

everywhere i look is either out of stock or $100 after shipping/tax

maybe i should just go for the nh-d14 for $85 shipped on amazon

cus it seems like if i need to pay $100 for a silver arrow, i might as well pay $30 more for the XSPC rasa kit

decisions decisions..

I'd go with the Rasa kit, why pay $100 or close to it for air when you can go water for a bit more?

I'm assuming it was user error as the H70 should easily beat the 212+.

Just reapply the thermal compound. Don't over do it though, a lot of people use too much and then see bad temperatures in return.
