Though I sometimes put the priority on high so I get better PPD, give that a try, unless your playing online FPS.

You would technically still get more with bigadv.
Yes I mainly do Online FPS

Would it be a lot more? Or just a little b it more?

Well if you are one of those competitive and take every moment you play on there like your life depended on it you might not want to have everything folding at once.
So just leave it at low priority, but if your playing games like SC2 then put it at high cause in game you will never notice.

Again you have to try different games and see if having the client on high priority bothers you or not.

Would 4.7Ghz be good enough for BigAdv?

Doing 4.8Ghz on 1.34v gets me following max temps: 62ºC (Core1), 68ºC (Core2), 71ºC (Core3), 66ºC (Core4).

Should I lower the OC? Considering max recommended temp by Intel is 72.6ºC?

You can do bigadv at 3.8ghz on i7 930 so yes 4.7 is plenty, don't ask me about temps go bother the others with that chip. >.<

Not sure what Tcase is since it says 72.6c on there website but for the i7 930 it says 67c, I wouldn't go by that considering my chip would have been dead by now.

Core Temp and Real Temp show "Tj. Max: 98ºC" but honestly I don't think running that is safe

Keep temps under 75C or so first, and wait for official word from Intel, or perhaps others who are testing the chip extensively.

Better to be safe then sorry. 4.7GHz is plenty for -bigadv already anyways.

You should be ok below 70c but noone knows for sure. We just have to wait till people kill a few chips.

Would you do 4.8Ghz if temps were up to 71ºC-72ºC on highest core?

Also, is 6900 a Bigadv?

I think you'll be fine in the 60's with one core in the 70's, as long as you don't go over 72 you'll be fine.

Yeah, 3 out of 4 cores are in the low 60's but core 3 hits 71ºC highest on Core Temp with 4.8Ghz.

Backed it down to 4.7Ghz for now, Core 3 seems to be hitting 69ºC max but stays within 65-68ºC.

Wish I could keep it at 4.8Ghz, I know performance wise not a big difference at all, but 4.8Ghz looks better than 4.7Ghz Although I don't like 1 core being at 71ºC
