Certainly a trend lately, developers letting everyone know prior to release their game will be best on PC. Not a bad thing, I'm certainly in favor of it, the more games taking advantage of what my rig has to offer, the better.

I'm probably 80% through the first game right now (SoC).. I can't believe I never played it until now. I sat the other night near the freedom base and watched lightning light up different aspects of the environment, and was pretty impressed by a game so old being so pretty.

Good to hear the devs are sticking true to the games roots.

With people dropping hundreds, if not thousands, on a PC Gaming Rig, you'd think Game Makers would wake the hell up and smell the coffee, there really is no price a gamer wouldn't pay for an "Awesome" game, all you have to do is make it, and yeah it's tough to make great games...

But the success is MOST rewarding, I don't care how many lame console games you pump out, if you are going to make a PC game it's worth doing right the first time!
(e.g. If the original sucked who would buy the sequel?)

I as a gamer only ask one thing, I implore thee in fact, if you are going to make an online version, ENSURE that it's hack proof, otherwise it will be a huge fail like Bad Company 2.

we all know its because theres about 5 guys working on the game and nowhere near enough resources to consider opening up to the console market and therefore making more money. but still, we know it'll be good. question is will it be all that different to the first 2 games. unlikely.

There are 3 stalker titles: SoC, CS and CoP. The question is definitely not "will it be all that different?". The last thing anyone wants is stalker turned into a spray and pray kiddie land with health regeneration and ammo/health on the ground every 2 meters.

Agreed but I still seem to go back. If a company makes online play addicting enough people will overlook the few hacks that get though. There are so many more options available with STALKER rather than just a simple death match. If the devs could somehow take the Diablo online, run with it, and make it their own I think STALKER 2 could be a force to reckoned with.

No software is EVER going to be hackproof. So you're really grasping at straws there. Not to mention, BC2 has less hackers and cheats than most multiplayer games. I've played nearly 800 hours and I've probably dealt with hackers/aimbotters about .001% of that time.
