Was thinking about getting this board. Not pleased about hearing these problems.

unrelated, I upgraded to the new 1253 bios last night and it seems pretty solid, just have to clear the cmos, and on the first boot setup the basic system (ram should be on failsafe 1333). On the 2nd boot my ram was back to 1600 and voltage/timings were automatically at their proper settings. Pretty much the same deal as the 1053 bios.
I didn't will do after work tho thanks.

I'm now wishing I could roll back to the 1053 bios.

the last 2 times I've put the computer to sleep since updating to the new 1253, it's crashed. Code EA - S3 Resume Boot Script Error
It appears to be a really common problem with the new bios.

Asus tech support had posted the Bios updates at http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1578865 and there's already about 7 pages of similar bugs and attempts to work around them.

Nice to see everyone finding issues for their fixes. My board still doesn't work however, has the damn "USB over current status" error and I am just waiting on MC to restock so I can go exchange it.

I bought all my stuff the day of launch and still haven't gotten to use it yet.

have you tried flashin the bios?

Also to any1 stuck on a bad bios the mobo disc should have a utility to revert the bios back to factory shipped bios. I havent tried it but I did read that in the manual. This is how we are supposed to fix a bad bios flash. Dont see why you couldnt technically use this to downgrade your bios.

the board is fine for me. 1053 bios is stable and a clear cmos fixed the cold boot issue for me and most every1 else. Just clear cmos right after bios update and you should be fine.

I don't think I can flash the BIOS because my keyboard doesn't work during the boot... I haven't even got to see what the new pretty UEFI looks like yet.

Guys, just restarted my new pc for the first time and it won't boot

I tried the jumper reset but that didn't work at all. I don't have a video output to my monitor period.

It's not the video card I'm sure, since I used the comp for a whole day before I installed AISuite II and restarted.

Im guessing this isnt for ur sig rig? Try booting with least amount of components. 1 stick of ram 1hdd no cdrom etc.

Also what bios were you using before this happened?
