4870 to 6970? - Page 3

I can't remember if I had AA. It is a wonderful game though. I doubt it'd be worth paying $450 just to turn on ME 2 AA but if you want a card to last you 2-3 years then a 6970 is perfect (or a 6950 if you want to do that flash thing but I couldn't be bothered)

I actually think graphics cards bought today will last longer than before because a lot of the development in computer graphics will be to do with huge monitors with huge resolutions and multiple monitor setups. A 6970 can run any of today's games with ease at 1920x1080 and unless you plan on getting a multi-monitor system or a higher resolution monitor, I reckon that card will still destroy games in years to come. I will admit though that I know very little about 3D technology in video games.

The 6970 will be a fabulous upgrade over your 4870.

I went from 5770 (which is about the same as a 4870) to 6950, do it.

Flashing the 6950 was extremely easy.

A 6970 can max any game at 1080p pretty much (as long as it's coupled with a competent CPU) and I reckon it'll take a few years for this to change.
