my favourite is creative, I have had this sound card for nearly 2 years and |LOVE it. its just a basic card but then you turn x-fi crystaliser on and...... awwwwwwwwwwwwwww it just sounds amazing, it adds so much punch to the bass. its amazing. what's your favourite sound card model/brand and why?

Having tried both ASUS and Creative, I must say ASUS is better for music, Creative for gaming.

Always had surround problems with the ASUS Xonar DX =/

what problems do you have? it was in my 775 system before and I got a lot of popping sounds and horrible random screaches and interferance but its PERFECT in my new rig

yeah, I use it for music and not so much for gaming. I listen to music in game mode and the card gets a little hot but oh well.

i guess i would say creative, but that's all i have had. i got my xtream gamer like 4 years ago and never needed a new one. if i did get a new one tho i would probably try asus, HT Omega, or Auzentech
