should i buy gtx 580 sli or wait for something better? - Page 2

If you want the "BEST" return them, get x2 580's from EVGA and then stup up to 595.

Just get it dude.. In the end you will ALWAYS be waiting if you don't just get something now for example.
Because you could be using these months waiting - enjoying your new 580's in SLI.. you know?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the 570's, but if you want the creme-de-la-creme, go ahead and return them and pick up a set of 580s.

Remember, you can always step-up (if you grab EVGAs) within 90 days (if the 595 releases by then) or sell here on the marketplace, and I guarantee someone will pick them up if you price them right.

You're right, I just can't justify the hassel, waiting, etc for the 580's for very minimal gains (we're talking like 10 fps)

The 570's are great cards. If you want more oomph, tri-sli them.

Let's see what Kepler offers later on this year.

quad SLI = lots of problems and poor scaling

it would be better to get anther GTX580 then going for a quad SLI...
