Issues with new i7 build, need help

Just as some background info, a little less than a month ago, my brother ordered parts for a new computer. Those being an i7 950, an ASUS Rampage III Formula, EVGA GTX 570 and 3x2GB of Mushkin Redline DDR3-1600, along with an SSD and a Cooler Master Hyper 212+.

After installation the first time, the computer didn't want to POST, after diagnosing that it wasn't the video card, we decided to RMA the board. Got a new board back a few days ago, and it POST'd and all seemed well... until we ran LinX. LinX has been giving errors everytime we run it, but usually not having an error at the same time. Once it lasted 3 hours, other times 30 minutes, and at other times only 8-10 minutes. After a day or two of running multiple LinX instances and fiddling with BIOS options, we ran Memtest86+. 18 hours of memtest, and there wasn't a single error. Now I'm at a loss for words. I went back and looked in the BIOS, and set the CPU voltage to 1.25v to make sure it wasn't a CPU voltage problem, and it still has errors in LinX around 8-30 minutes. I've gone through the BIOS multiple times and set most things with an auto setting to auto. I don't have a clue what the problem could be. He used the GTX 570 and SSD for 2 weeks or so with no issues at all, which only leaves the motherboard, RAM, or CPU.

Can anyone help or shed some light on the issue?

Stock, yes. But I may have fixed the problem by upping the IOH and ICH voltages a smidge. Been running LinX for about 3 1/2 hours with no errors so far, which is almost the longest time out of 15 or so LinX instances. So ridiculous that auto voltages can even cause instability, screw ASUS .
