Can't install East Asian language support on XP

I'm trying to install Japanese support on my computer, it asks for the Windows disc to be put in, then says it cannot copy the file msmincho.tt_.

The disc is pretty old, and although I just used it for a reformat-install, it might be scratched where these files are or something.

Is there somewhere I can obtain the files for Japanese support since my XP disc doesn't seem to want to work?

I have fully updated though, I'm on SP3 and there's nothing more to add in Windows Update.

Edit : Okay, I installed 'Office XP Japanese', so Japanese displays in browsers, search engines and websites.. but it still comes up as Squares when I try and put it in filenames or .txt files.
