Why Is It That Some Game Require The Dreadful Steam - Page 17

lol

have fun getting games without having them not integrated into steam in the near future IMO

its the best way to get patches, get stuff downloaded, DLC, so on and so forth.

whats gonna happen when most game publishers turn to Steam/Valve to distribute their games digitally and with physical copies IE Black Ops and MW2, all the dvds in the cases were steam backups of the game.

Steam is not going away, embrace its awesomeness of easy to use digital distribution and community.

the people that praise steam out weigh the people that hate steam

but how can you hate steam. everything is there for you in a nice neat package. I never have to worry about losing a dvd/cd/key ever again because most of the games I own are from steam or tied into steam now.

I told 'em where to go, what to do when they got there, and what they could suck along the way. (Still holds true to this day).
OH NOES

you had to take a picture of your cd key so they could verify that it wasn't in use

SO DIFFICULT!

Today, Steam has sort of redeemed itself to me. In all fairness, a free copy of Metro 2033 and all of the people that got it for free has made up for my having to return halflife2. nVidia's blunder, I know, but the key worked perfectly, and it wouldn't have been possible without steam. So, maybe I'll have to change with the times... we'll see. But for now, I'll stop my hatin' posts.
