So, I'm up to 4.254 GHz at 1.32v on my i7 950. Temps are maxing at 77C w/ Prime95 on Blend test. Is this probably about maxed with the Hyper 212+?

If you are willing to push up the temps/voltage sure. A better cooler would help.

Wow your only hitting 77°C with a hyper 212+?! Yeah i wouldn't go any higher then that bro. I like to stay at 75°C or less for a 24/7 OC. Get a better cooler or better yet get a rasa 240 kit and you can go further. Don't push any further with the temps your getting.

Thanks for the reply. That was pretty much what I was thinking. It's stable in Prime95 for now, but i don't want to push it at those temps. I know it CAN be safe higher, but i can't afford to replace the chip. I'd love to get a Rasa kit, but my wife would probably divorce me if I tried to spend more money on this box right now.

Well shoot that wouldn't be good! Yeah just leave it where it's at now and get a better cooling system later and then try OC'ing some more

But for now with your hyper 212+ that's an amazing OC!

Uh, yeah, that's outstanding temperatures (if accurate) with that cooler at the OC... good job! Anyways, that's about the highest I would be comfortable with for sure.
