Hello, i have been playing around with GTL ref voltages trying to get my overclock 100% stable, reason for this is because i am 24hr prime stable but still get the occasional freeze when playing a game. Running a QX9650 at 400fsb Vtt is 1.2v. (790i mobo). Done a lot of research about GTL REF voltage and my calculated figure (to get 0.67x vtt) is about -40v which is what auto sets on. Seems to be roughly what a lot of people use. But so far so good i seem better at -80v on all cores. I found this figure by adjusting down til unstable, then up til unstable, then split the difference. Does this method work?? Intel recommends 0.67x vtt for this chip, which im no where near! Any thoughts on all of this??
