yes, but to have a wired external video card the motherboard would have to have an external connection capable of handling the bandwidth of a powerful external VGA card.

At least when you get into the higher end laptops you can run into the option of swapping VGA's that use the MXM slot like the new mobility 5000-series cards... but they the laptop needs a larger PSU.

Great idea, but a GTX 460? I think it would be severely bottlenecked by something like this. Not to mention the price...

What would be bottlenecked?

I agree to a point. Honestly though, a wireless GPU? I have to say for the average user and even us on OCN, this is a pointless venture.
