1 hour of furmark and still stable. Good OC? - Page 2

I think it's ok, GTX465 temps average 80*C, I don't think it's too hot.
this issue let me think about my 4870, higher than 100*C... It's really called horrible...

O ya, meant to include that. 1050 on msi.

Oops, my bad.. getting late here - 2:35am and I'm still hard at work on my 460 OC. Guess I didn't catch his signature clear enough..

I guess my card is the right kind to be flashed to a 470 but I figured if I got this OC enough I wouldn't have to bother with the whole flashing process.

Edit: fan speed is at max on the fan controller. around 2900 rpm.

I'm wary about testing OC's with Furmark. I can run my 465 at 800/1600/1800 on .975 volts in MSI Afterburner in Furmark for hours and not see any artifacting or errors.

Using those settings in OCCT gave like 20000 errors in 5 seconds. Also, Crysis would artifact unless I put it up to about .985 volts.

If it can flashed to a 470, I would do it regardless of the clocks you get now

I do think that the temps are a little high though, esp with an aftermarket cooler cranked up.

I'm not so sure myself. I was just curious if it could handle OCCT, and it didn't.

I just used default settings.

Also, OCCT got a lot hotter than Furmark did. I was up to 78c in about a minute with lower overclocks, where as with Furmark, I never got above 71c with higher overclocks and about an hour and a half of running it.
