SLI is not working on my Asus P8P67P Deluxe

So I can't get the options to SLI, before you ask

Yes. I booted into safe mode, removed the cards, ran driver cleaner and installed the drivers, I have tired both

Version:
260.99 WHQL
And 263.35 currently

I have tired both putting in my MSI 1 GB or GIGBYTE 1GB in both slots, the bridge is connected correctly. Anyone know what could be causing this?

I have all the drivers installed correctly, I'm waiting on my water parts before I start to OC, but I want to get the SLI working, see attached picture.

Have you tested each card independently?

Yeah I'm having issues with my 9800GT being considered the "main" card.

It's almost like it's trying to sli with the gtx 470 and the result is lower than expected fps.

It's a new platform, there are gonna be some bugs. Sadly you'll probably have to wait for new drivers/bios.

^^ I have not done that, one card is a MSI and the Other is a gigabyte

Would this be a problem to flash both to msi? They are both 1 GB and none OC models

I notice you mentioned driver cleaning ... did you not re-install Windows when you switched to Sandy Bridge? Because I sure as hell would

And are you saying you used Device Manager to manually uninstall the cards? And then do you remember if you selected 'delete the driver for this device' checkbox to complete the uninstall?

Because if you did, in my experience, that causes problems when you go to re-install drivers. Dunno why, or how to fix it, but I remember creating a nightmare one time when I did that in the past. Took me hours to fix, installing one card at a time, futzing around, having driver installs fail, all kinds of nonsense ... and I forget what actually rectified it.

Driver Sweeping (and manually forcing drivers to be uninstalled through DM) is WAAAAY over-rated and over-suggested around OCN. The only time I *EVER* driver sweep is when moving from ATI drivers to NV drivers.

This is a fresh install of Windows 7 U 64 Bit. I used the program Driver cleaner pro to delete the current Nvidia drivers.

Whats the Idle way to do this

Go into safe mode, delete all the drivers with driver cleaner
delete the video display drivers in windows
Reboot
Install Card #1 then install the video drivers
Shutdown
Istall card #2

I will try this

I have done this before with both cards installed and that didn't work for me. I have the latest bios for my MB as well. Whats a good driver for the GTX 460

Why would you delete any drivers in a fresh install of Windows? And what do you mean by this: delete the video display drivers in windows? I'm about 95% sure that was your mistake right there.

If this is a fresh install of windows, if I were you, I'd just do the install over again.

After re-installing Windows, boot up with both the cards installed, let Windows install whatever drivers for the cards it wants to, reboot, then install the Forceware package. You may have to reboot after that, but at this point you should be golden.

I might just reinstall see if that fixes the issue, I will save my drives to my other hd so I don't have to go searching for them
