Who has their phone overclocked? - Page 6

I run my Evo at 1.15 for the most part. i use SetCPU to scale it back depending on battery percentage and temperature, and force it to 245 when the screen is off.

i know it depends on what kernel you're using and also how fussy your device is.

there are kernels that offer extreme under-volting when the phone is idle and my Evo's stability suffers from it, where other people running the same hardware revision Evo have better results.

it's really something to play around with, just do so at your own risk and read up on whatever information is available for your device. xda-developers.com is a great resource for android and windows mobile users.

I'm running at 1.2 ghz day to day (stock voltage for 1 ghz) and sometimes hit 1.5 ghz for benchmark lolz.

Smartass governor so it automatically underclocks when the screen is off. No need for a separate profile.

Someone swyped my idea.

I had my Galaxy S at 1200Mhz (see video) with an older Voodoo Kernel, then I switched to the newer SpeedMod Kernel that allowed under volting and overclocking up to 1280Mhz, but that was eating up my battery(lasting one day), other people reporting great battery life with this Kernel

Now I am now using default clocks with Voodoo 5.2 Kernel, browser is not as fast(still fast, just not as fast), but battery can last 2 to 3 days easy with light to moderate use.

Just upgraded to a Nexus S on Friday and I am currently running it at 1.4GHz and it seems to be stable.

What's your point? Don't you need a kernel that allows for the OC'd speed...
